Scene: Tipping Point Community’s 7th Annual Awards Breakfast
Tipping Point Community, the Bay Area’s leading poverty-fighting organization, held its 7th annual award breakfast at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco on December 12. This years honorees included the Eastside College Preparatory School, Larkin Street Youth Services, and Opportunity Junction, of which each received a grant of $50,000 for their work to prevent poverty in the region. Additionally, McKinsey & Company was recognized with the Tipping Point Partner Award for the money, time, and resources it uses to support Tipping Point and its grantees. Notable VIPs in attendance included Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, Larry Baer of the San Francisco Giants, Ronnie Lott and Jed York of the San Francisco 49ers.
