Haute 100 LA Update: James Franco Wins Film Critics Award for ‘Spring Breakers’
It wasn’t the most likely performance to win rave reviews, but James Franco is the king of the unexpected.
The actor’s surprising turn in Spring Breakers playing a gangster/rapper named Alien has earned him an award from the National Society of Film Critics.
Franco took home the Best Supporting trophy for his turn in the film, which stars Disney darlings Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez.
He has been campaigning for an Oscar nomination for the film as well.
