Haute Event: Alesso Starts Off the New Year at Light Nightclub
Light Nightclub’s “Lift Off” celebration of 2014 culminated with a star-studded, event featuring Swedish DJ sensation Alesso on New Year’s Day at Mandalay Bay.
The Grammy-nominated deejay dominated the decks during his set, playing the hottest electric/house sounds including his own songs. While playing his smash hit “Under Control” Alesso shouted out deejay/producer Calvin Harris and Theo Hurchcraft. Both are featured on the track and were present for his set. Hurchcraft joined Alesso on stage and started dancing, as the at-capacity crowd went wild.
After his set, Alesso and friends partied at an exclusive dance floor table. Later, the nightclub presented him with a custom cake to celebrate his 2014 Grammy Award nomination and thank him for an amazing year.
Also spotted at Light Nightclub, socialite Paris Hilton dancing and chatting with friends and Olympic swimmers Ryan Lochte, Cullen Jones and friends returning for a second night. The group stayed until the club closed.
