Haute 100 NY Update: Hillary Clinton Misses Driving Her Car

While having a driver to shuttle you from place to place may seem ideal, Hillary Clinton would rather be behind the wheel! The former first lady, who has relied on drivers for the majority of her public life, recently revealed during the National Automobile Dealers Association meeting in New Orleans that she hasn’t actually driven a car since 1996.

“And I remember it very well, and so does the Secret Service, which is why I haven’t driven since then,” she joked to the audience. “I’ve always enjoyed stories about cars and adventure. And I have to confess that one of the greatest disappointments about my public life is that I cannot drive anymore.”

Unlike the former Secretary of State, Bill Clinton is content never having to deal with the stresses of driving again. “My husband thinks that’s a blessing,” she revealed. “But he’s the one who should talk.”
