DIANE VON FURSTENBERG’S JOURNEY OF A DRESS EXHIBITION
Diane Von Furstenberg kicked off the 40th anniver-sary of her iconic wrap dress with a fabulous fete at the Wilshire May Company Building on Jan. 10. The crème de la crème of Hollywood came out for the opening night of “Journey of a Dress”, including Furstenberg’s husband, Barry Diller, as well as Jeff Bezos, Ashley Olsen, Christian Louboutin, model Coco Rocha, Langley Fox Hemmingway, Jacqui Getty, Rachel Roy, Rooney Mara, Demi Moore, Anna Wintour and Tobey Maguire. The exhibition focuses on a retrospective of vintage and contemporary DVF wraps, with a timeline chronicling the journey of the iconic dress; it also includes portraits of Diane by artists such as Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, Helmut Newton and Annie Leibovitz.
