Scene: Gucci Presents Lacma’s Art + Film Gala
LACMA toasted its hautest event of the season Nov. 2 at its third annual Art + Film Gala. $4.1 million was raised at the event, which honored artist David Hockney and Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese. Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow co-hosted the Gucci-sponsored gala, which raised funds for LACMA’s film initiatives and future exhibitions, acquisitions and programming. Guests including Larry Gagosian, Brian Grazer, Brad Grey, Elaine Wynn, Mary J. Blige, Robert Downey Jr., Will Ferrell, James Franco, Kate Hudson, Tom Hanks, Frida Giannini, Salma Hayek-Pinault and François-Henri Pinault enjoyed a dinner prepared by Patina’s Joachim Splichal, champagne from Laurent Perrier and performances by Sting and Dhani Harrison.
