Bacon & Ham Windy City Brunch

The temps may be dropping this weekend but there is at least one reason to be excited for it. Tavernita, Absolut Chicago, Uber, Toys for Tots, and the very cool Almanac Mag Editor-in-Chief Jamon Deaver have teamed up to present the Bacon & Ham Windy City Brunch. The Chicago-themed brunch event will be held this Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 11:30AM to 3:30PM at Tavernita (151 west Erie St.).  Guests are invited to enjoy Chicago-themed food and drink specials, complimentary party favors and a 4-course brunch sharing menu paired with one cocktail for $18.50 per person.  Signature Chicago-style menu items will also be available, including:

Chili Cheese Dog Sliders ($3)

Mini Deep Dish Frittata with shrimp, spinach, goat cheese ($12)

Cheesecake with caramel apple, peanut ($8)

Chicago Cocktail with Absolut Chicago vodka, ginger beer, lemon, rosemary, cucumber ($12)

Diners are also encouraged to receive a free ride to Tavernita for the event by downloading the Uber app and using the code TAVERNITA13 ($20 value) and to share in the holiday spirit by bringing a toy donation for Toys for Tots.
