Weezer, Steve Aoki, STS9 Announced to Play Belly Up; Toro y Moi Plays This Thursday
Belly Up Aspen’s holiday lineup is always legendary, rivaling the best clubs in the nation. In fact, the 450-person music venue was named one of the top spots for music earlier this year by Rolling Stone, and the 2013-14 calendar is proving the claim is warranted once again.
It was recently announced that electronic DJ Steve Aoki will play Dec. 21, rockers Weezer will play two nights on Dec. 26 and 27, and live electronic group STS9 will return to the club Jan. 29 and 30. The Flaming Lips are set to play two shows on Dec. 30 and 31 to ring in the New Year. There are several open nights still unannounced, so expect those to be filled with musical acts of equal caliber.
This week, don’t miss the chillwave, indie-funk pop artist Tory y Moi, with Classixx on Thursday, Nov. 7, followed by Denver-based DJ Ecto Cooler on Friday and bluegrass, folk music from The Drunken Hearts on Saturday.
