Memories were made Friday night in the Pearl at the Palms when Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band took the stage for the first of two nights of rock n roll.  The stops at the Pearl were the only two U.S. dates following a two-month Latin American tour. The current incarnation of the All Starr Band included Steve Lukather (Toto), Gregg Rolie (Santana; Journey), Richard Page (Mr. Mister), Todd Rundgren, Mark Rivera and Gregg Bissonette. Paying homage to all of their past projects, in addition to Ringo Starr hits like “Photograph” and “It Don’t Come Easy,” the group played a collection of songs from the All Starrs such as “Rosana” and “Black Magic Woman.” Of course, they had to play a few Beatles tunes as well, sounding fantastic as the group performed “With A Little Help From My Friends” and “Yellow Submarine.”

Music fans Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci of The Killers took in the show last night and there have been rumblings today of a special guest at tonight’s show. Also in attendance last night, the five “kids in the car” from the now famous photo from Ringo’s book “Photograph.” The group met Ringo face-to-face backstage for the first time since they located the “kids” and the reunion will air on a future episode of “The Today Show.”

The official book launch of Ringo Starr’s book “Photograph” is also taking place at the Palms this weekend with a large exhibit of excerpts from the limited-edition book by Genesis Publications. The exhibit runs today from until midnight in the hotel’s Addison Room.
