Montblanc Sponsors the 30th Annual Breeders World Cup

Montblanc sponsored thoroughbred racing’s prestigious 30th Breeders’ Cup World Championships over the weekend.

Purses and awards totalled $27 million after 14 races at Santa Anita Park Nov. 1 and 2.

The big winner of the event was “Mucho Macho Man”, who made a photo finish and won the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Stars gathered to watch the races from the VIP Trophy Lounge included Breeders Cup Ambassadors Bo Derek, Elizabeth Banks,  Bobby FlayJim RomeJohn Ortiz, Laura Bell BundyRob Dydrek, Wes Welker and Avery Johnson.

Performers at the event included Kristin Chenoweth, Toni Braxton, Richie Sambora, Jacob Dylan, Joan Osbourne, Dame,  Jenny O, Giselle Fernandez, Nikki Lane, Jenny & The Mexicats and American Authors.

Additional attendees included Bode Miller, Christian Kane, David Arquette, David Krumholtz, Emilio Estevez, Jason Collins, Jerry Ferrara, Jerry O’Connell, Jim Wilson, John Elway, Josh Bowman, Matt Lauria, Noureen DeWulf, Perry Ferrel, Skeet Ulrich, Tim DeKay and Todd Lowe.

President and CEO of Montblanc North America Jan-Patrick Schmitz was also on hand to present the Nicolas Rieussec timepiece to the owners of winning horse Mucho Macho Man.
