Malibu Named America’s Most Expensive Real Estate Market

Where will you find the most expensive real estate market in America? Why, right here in LA, of course.

According to the 2013 Coldwell Banker Real Estate Home Listing Report published Nov. 6, the sleepy seaside community of Malibu has the most expensive homes in the country.

The average listing price for a four-bedroom, two-bath property is $2.15 million.

This norm doesn’t include the manses owned by the Hollywood elite who call Malibu home. Jim Carrey sold his three-bedroom Malibu home for a reported $13.4 million last year, and Brian Grazer‘s mansion is currently on the market for $18.95 million.

Larry Ellison and David Geffen are just a few of the mega-earners who live in the tony 1-mile stretch of land known as “Billionaires Beach”; Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber also own high-priced real estate in the ‘Bu.
