Madonna Named Highest Paid Musician in 2013
Material girl Madonna took the top seat on Forbes list of 25 highest paid musicians in 2013, an impressive feat for the seasoned veteran. Effortlessly surpassing Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Coldplay and even Jay-Z, the 55-year-old talented singer and performer earned $125 million this past year in large part to her successful MDNA tour. Ticket sales, as well as merchandise from the concerts and the singers other business ventures were also factored into her yearly earnings.
Lady Gaga came in second place with $80 million in earnings. The pop singer was forced to cut her tour short because of a hip injury and her “Artpop” album had yet to be released. The great Bon Jovi came in third with $79 million in earnings, followed by country singer Toby Keith with $65 million, and Coldplay with $64 million.
