Haute Event: Rev Run Celebrates His Birthday at Hakkasan
Hip-hop legend Rev Run celebrated his birthday at the Ling Ling Club inside Hakkasan at the MGM Grand by performing with Ruckus on Saturday night.
Ruckus hopped in the deejay booth around 1 a.m. and began his set. As the energy of the room escalated, Ruckus welcomed Rev Run into the deejay booth and wished him a happy birthday. The pair played classic hits from the ’90s and today.
A dozen cocktail waitresses later appeared in the deejay booth and presented the hip-hop star with his birthday cake. As confetti burst into the air, Rev Run stepped back to admire his four-tier cake adorned with a replica of his iconic hat, clerical collar and gold chain.
Rev Run’s daughters Vanessa and Angela Simmons and son Joseph “Jo Jo” Simmons were spotted celebrating alongside their dad for his birthday.
