Vivienne Westwood Celebrates Book Launch on Queen’s Royal Jubilee
Vivienne Westwood Los Angeles celebrated the launch of Taschen’s limited-edition book “Her Majesty the Queen, Royal Edition” on Tuesday night.
The book, available for $850, is a hand-crafted collector’s item with a cover and case designed by Westwood herself; the book also comes encased in a mother-of-pearl clam shell box.
The cover is embellished with a drawing of the Star of the Noble Order of the Garter that is hand-stitched with silver metallic thread with a design that incorporates the brand’s Gold Label collection as well as a reference to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee reign.
The work of photographers Cecil Beaton, Studio Lisa, Dorothy Wilding, Karsh, Lord Snowdon, Patrick Lichfield, Wolfgang Tillmans, Rankin and Annie Leibovitz has been included within the book.
Guests at the fete enjoyed champagne courtesy of Magnifico Giornata and canapés with music by Nikki Pennie while taking a first-hand peek at the new tome.
