All-American designer Ralph Lauren has been designing the United States Olympic team apparel since 2008 and this year is no different. Amping up the focus on American made pieces, Lauren worked closely with smaller high quality suppliers in the U.S. and promises that “from yarn to dye” everything is made in America for the 2014 Sochi games.

“We have worked incredibly hard as a company to go across America to find the best partners to help us produce the Olympic uniforms at the highest quality for the best athletes in the world,” Executive Vice President David Lauren said in a press conference.

The traditional American flag sweater is one of 65,000 pieces crafted for the Olympic teams opening and closing ceremony attire. Other pieces in the collection include classic navy pea coats and custom boots all adorned with the American flag. So when you wave your “Go USA” embroidered mittens and keep toasty in that “Team USA” knitted hat, it’s safe to say you’re rooting on a lot more than America’s finest Athletes, you’re supporting America’s most excellent businesses.
