Karl Lagerfeld Creates Holiday Accessories Line Inspired by his Cat

The illustrious German fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld has introduced a new holiday accessory collection inspired by his beloved Persian cat, Choupette. At Lagerfeld’s estate, the posh pet receives the full luxury treatment, complete with her own maids and a Twitter account.

Although an unusual muse, Choupette has been a major inspiration to Lagerfeld and undoubtedly inspired the various cat shaped bags and leather whisker adorned accessories in the collection. The fancy feline Choupette was a gift from Chanel model, Baptiste Giabiconi. “I never thought that I would fall in love like this with a cat,” Lagerfeld told CNN.

The designer’s classic black and white color scheme stays true throughout the kitty themed iPhone cases, fingerless gloves and leather bags. The “Choupette” collection will be available exclusively at Karl Lagerfeld stores on November 12.
