Haute Beauty Report: Saks Shows Us a Bevy of Beauty Tips, Tricks and Trends for Fall

We all know Saks Fifth Avenue as the mecca for stunning designer clothing and accessories. But before going gaga over those designer digs, first thing’s first: The best fall accessory for any woman is a stunning face.

Haute Living was invited to the Saks Beauty Department for a full-face experience of their Fall Beauty Tour, a luxurious desk-side with three high-end beauty brands that are currently showcasing the hottest beauty trends for fall.

Radiance Revealed

A beautiful face starts with a radiant canvas.  What better place to start than SKII (Secret Key to Beautiful Skin), the Japanese skincare line known for it’s ability to deliver crystal clear skin.  The 40-year old line is powered by a magical botanical called Pitera™, a naturally derived ingredient rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and organic acids that comes from sake fermentation process.  Pitera™ literally has the ability to transform the complexion’s texture, radiance, firmness and wrinkle resilience.

A clean canvas starts with a softener (or toner, as we commonly know it).  In Japan, softening the skin is a common ritual that allows skin to bloom, allowing treatments and moisturizers to penetrate more effectively.  After cleansing skin, the first step in achieving that crystal clear look is the SKII Treatment Essence. This unique Pitera-rich product moisturizes to improve texture and clarity for a more beautiful, glowing complexion.

Luminous Complexion

The Armani complexion is all about sheer luminosity and dewey skin that glows from within. Heavy foundation is a thing of the past; Armani is sheer luxe, taking us into a new world of radiant foundation with high payoff and natural coverage.  Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is key as the base for this natural look.

For fall, bump up the radiance with Armani’s stunning non-smokey “smoked out” look for the eye known as the Goddess Glance.  This look transforms the eye with golden smokey tones both above and underneath the eye that instantly open the eye.

The “non-Smokey” smokey eye is achieved with light shimmery golden tones on on the base of the lid, blended out to the crease with a deeper shade.  Following the application of the shimmery shadows, black eyeliner lines both upper and lower waterline.

Lip Service

To top off the look, Dolce and Gabbana gives full lip service with a gorgeous range of colors for fall. Who can resist a bright pop from Dolce?

This fall, colors are trending toward deep berries and reds.  Think aubergine and deep wines. Give the lips more dimension with the phenombre look, which fades two shades into one.  Dark to light or light to dark: either direction gives the lips a subtle burst of texture and definition.

This looks is easily achieved by choosing two similar shades of lipstick with the darkest shade of liner. Dolce’s classic cream lipstick comes in a range of amazing shades to please any palette.Start by lining lips with the deep liner, followed by the darkest shade lipstick on the outer edges of the lips.  Finish the look with the lightest shade on the inside of the lips (and maybe a little gloss in the very center for a little bit of pop).

And that rounds out the hautest beauty looks for fall, so have fun with it!  Saks is a ‘candy-shop’ of luxe beauty.  High-end beauty brands offer skincare, complexion and color for a perfect beauty wardrobe to suit any mood and any occasion.
