Restaurant mogul Michael Mina has extended his empire to include a wine delivery service. The Michael Mina Wine Club, which launched late September, is 100 percent financed by the Michael Mina Group.

Sommelier Raj Parr, who is wine director for the group’s 18 restaurants, is overseeing the new delivery service.  The concept is to offer members bottles from the wine lists of Mina’s restaurants, thereby giving members access to hard-to-find wines from small producers around the world.  In addition to the rare bottle, another unique feature of the service is that each wine comes with a recipe from one of Mina’s restaurants.

Membership to the club includes four shipments of six bottles per year, spaced three months apart. The Hidden Gems level costs $120 per shipment, while the Wines of Consequence is $300 per shipment.
