Haute Event: Dream For Future Africa’s LA Gala

Wolfgang and Gelila Puck alongside supermodel Amber Valetta hosted Dream for Future Africa Foundation‘s inaugural LA gala last Thursday at Puck’s iconic Beverly Hills eatery, Spago.

Vogue Italia Editor-In-Chief Franca Sozzani was honored at the event for her commitment to the fashion, faces, and crafts of Africa.

Notable attendees from the evening included Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Joe Jonas, Alex Pettyfer, Karolina Kurkova, Ali Larter, Chord Overstreet, Rachel Zoe, Dita Von Teese, Amy Smart, Erika Christensen, Angela Lindvall, Maria Sharapova, Quincy Jones, Doug Aitken, Devon Aoki, Nikolai Von Bismarck, Francesco Carrozzini, Eva & Michael Chow, Simon & Michaela De Pury, Ben Silverman, Liz Goldwyn, Shiva Rose, Katherine Ross and D.A. Wallach.

Babyface Edmonds and Vittorio Grigolo provided the evening’s entertainment.

Dream for Future Africa foundation was founded by Gelila Assefa Puck in 2010 and is dedicated to providing opportunity and equity for those most in need in Africa.  The foundation’s primary focus is the economic sustainability of African families whose children are too often thrust into the working world without the appropriate training and skill-set to rise in the world, thus creating a middle class for Africa.
