Welcome to the New Atlanta

The drama in the ATL is hotter than ever thanks to the reality show, The New Atlanta, which premieres September 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. With the abundance of Atlanta-based reality tv (think RHOA, Pretty Wicked Moms, Big Rich Atlanta, Married to Medicine), we were surprised to hear of this new one on the verge. But this show promises to entertain, giving us a whole new way to see Atlanta. Think old south with new blood. The cast of five are taking the city by storm- one cat fight, and episode at a time.

Over the course of season one, The New Atlanta will follow five of the city’s trailblazers as they chase their dreams. Hoping to make their mark in the cutthroat fashion, music, entertainment and event planning industries, they are clawing their way to the top.

Here is a quick run-down of the cast

Africa Miranda:  Actress/singer/model on the verge of big things

Alexandra Dilworth: It-girl on Atlanta’s Hot Electronic Dance Music scene, she is a self-proclaimed daddy’s girl.

Emily Lipman: Successful boutique owner who is on the cutting edge of the fashion industry in the city.

Jevon “Vawn” Sims: Go-to guy for artist development and a fixture on the music scene.

Tribble Reese: A former arena football player, he is now a partner at an event promo company.

 Get ready for some action, Atlanta. We think Bravo definitely has a hit on their hands. 

Cast member Emily Lipman, who is the owner of Raw Denim boutique, formally in Buckhead, has relocated to a hipper and larger space at the brand new 77 12th building in Midtown. She has been hard at work getting the shop set up and ready. If you are not familiar, they are a men’s and women’s boutique that stock cutting-edge fashion lines and accessories. Tomorrow, Tuesday Sept. 17, she will officially open her new doors to the boutique and literally just in time for the premiere of the show.  Shoppers and friends can browse the new collections at Raw Denim and listen to the sounds of DJ Sky from 6-9 pm. Then, from 9- 11p.m. the VIP guests will move upstairs to pool at 77 12th to watch the big debut of the show. A $10 donation for A Wish For Wendy benefiting Cystic Fibrosis, will be collected at the door. Light bites from Tuk Tuk, cupcakes from Gigi’s and beer from Corona and Budweiser will be served.
