Project Runway: Mychael Knight to Compete in Season 3 All Stars
A dear friend with an amazing talent, Project Runway alum and fashion designer, Mychael Knight is at it again. This time he is competing in Project Runway All Stars Season 3, which premieres October 24 on Lifetime. We first got to know the Atlanta-local Mychael Knight when he was on the 3rd season of Project Runway. Although, he finished in fourth place, he remained a fan favorite throughout. And, he took his new-found fame and hit the ground running. Since the initial show, Mychael has done commission work for companies like Coke and Nike, launched Majk, a unisex fragrance, designed for his own fashion label Mychael Knight, and dressed and designed custom garments for various celebrities including Khloe Kardashian, Toni Braxton, Kelly Rowland and Jennifer Hudson. Needless to say, he has continued to embrace his talent.
Over the years, I have run into the talented Knight at various events. I am always impressed by his infectious personality and humble attitude, not to mention his sleek designs. Just a couple of weeks ago, I saw him at Fashion Cares. After a quick embrace, I asked what he had been up to lately. He grinned and said he had big things going on. Before I had a chance to probe further, he was pulled on to the red carpet for a series of photos. A few days later I heard he was competing on Season 3 of Project Runway All Stars. Now, I understand why he was grinning.
The 3rd season of the All Stars will feature a new crop of judges and mentors. Actress Alyssa Milano will host the show, Lifetime has confirmed. She will be joining returning judges Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman. The new mentor this season will be Marie Claire’s Fashion Editor Zanna Roberts Rassi. Good luck Mychael. We are rooting for you.
