Leonardo DiCaprio has elected to play Woodrow Wilson on the silver screen.

The 38-year-old Oscar nominee will produce and star in a biopic about our 28th president.

The film will be based on A. Scott Berg’s recently-released biography Wilson. It will be produced by DiCaprio, Berg and Appian Way’s Jennifer Davisson Killoran.

The book only hit shelves last week, but DiCaprio elected to act quickly, which worked in his favor. It is a detailed portrayal of the president, emphasizing his successes, such as the creation of the Federal Reserve and his crusade in support of the Treaty of Versailles and the League of Nations.

Warner Bros. is in early negotiations to bring the movie to the big screen.
