Haute Event: ABT’s ‘Stars Under the Stars’ Gala
The American Ballet Theatre presented a dreamy, star-studded evening under the stars last week.
Its Stars Under the Stars: An Evening in Los Angeles gala was held at the Beverly Hills home of Jeanne and Anthony Pritzker and co-chaired by Avery and Andy Barth, LeeAnn and Ron Havner, Arthur Levine and Lauren Leichtman, Richard Merkin, and Laura and Jamie Rosenwald.
The evening featured dinner and a special performance by the world-renowned artists of American Ballet Theatre including Principal Dancers Gillian Murphy and Cory Stearns as well as soloists Misty Copeland and James Whiteside.
2013 marks the second consecutive year the Pritzkers have hosted the gala, with all $230,000 proceeds raised benefiting ABT. Stars Under The Stars raises funds to support the Company’s extensive domestic and international touring, the creation of significant new works, and award-winning education and outreach programs, which are also held in California.
Attendees at the posh event included Jenna and Bodhi Elfman, Jane Seymour, Priscilla Presley, Nigel Lythgoe, Neve Campbell, J.J. Felid, Eva LaRue and Derek Hough.
