Haute 100 Update Miami: Micky Arison Named 3rd Richest Team Owner
In a article ranking the 34 richest sports team owners in the country by Forbes, Miami Heat owner Micky Arison was named the 3rd richest with a net worth of $5.9 billion. At number one was Paul Allen, the owner of both the Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trailblazers who is worth $15.8 billion. Despite Seattle money’s number one slot, a disproportionate number of owners in the top ten were from the sunshine state.
Richard DeVos, owner of the Orlando Magic came in at number 2 with $6.8 billion, Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins occupied number 5, number 7 is Macolm Glazer owner of both Manchester United and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and number 10 is Shahid Khan, owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham FC who is worth $3.8 billion.
