Haute 100 SF Update: Yahoo! Unveils New Logo as Part of Makeover Under Marissa Mayer

Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer unveiled the company’s first refreshed logo in its 18-year history. The logo was planned to the smallest details by Mayer and her design team, and comes after the Internet giant ran a month-long media campaign parading each rejected logo every day.
The redesign is part of an ongoing overhaul of Yahoo! that started when the former Google executive took over 14 months ago. She has already spruced up Yahoo’s front page, email and Flickr photo-sharing service, as well as engineering a series of acquisitions aimed at attracting more traffic on mobile devices.
