Glendale Named One of the Preppiest Cities in America

Glendale found itself placed on a very interesting, though somewhat surprising list: the SoCal city has been named one of the 20 preppiest places in America.

Real estate blog Movoto has created its own ranking system based on a so-called preppy lifestyle system.

That includes retailers per capita, country clubs per capita, private schools, presence of boarding or prep schools, college grads with a Bachelor’s degree or higher, a median household income and equestrian centers per capita.

The presence of upscale shopping centers like Caruso Affiliated’s Americana at Brand surely doesn’t hurt, either.

Glendale came in at number 18 on the list; San Francisco Scottsdale, Arizona and Scottsdale, Arizona took the top three spots.
