The Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival Kicks Off With Star Power

Be prepared for some serious star power at the kick off of this year’s annual Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival presented by Mastercard. It has been announced that Christina Hendricks (you may know her better as Joan from the hit TV show Mad Men) and award-winning singer Jason Derulo will help to kick off the festivities. It’s all happening this Thursday, August 22 at #Shopfest: A Kick-Off to Fall Fashion. In addition to the special guests there will be cocktails and small bites

The kickoff will be from 5:30 to 7:30 (Fashion Show with Jason Derulo performance will be from 6:30 – 7PM) and will take place inside the #Shopfest Tent at Pioneer Court (401 North Michigan), tickets can be purchased for $30 at http://shopfest.eventbrite.com/. The runway show will be led by fashion icon Nena Ivon and Joel Morales of Ext. 54 along with partners 900 North Michigan Shops, The Shops at North Bridge and Water Tower Place. This is just the beginning of the 12 day festival, there are so much happening over the next week and a half that I can hardly contain myself, yes it’s that exciting.
