Rare Blue Diamond Expected to Fetch $19 Million at Auction
A 7.59-carat round fancy vivid blue diamond will hit the auction block on Oct.7 as part of Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite sale. Named “Premier Blue,” the rare gem is expected to fetch $19 million.
“No significant round fancy vivid blue diamond has ever appeared at auction worldwide thus making the Premier Blue a rare and exceptional gem,” explained the auction house.
For those that want a sneak peak at the flawless stone before it goes up for auction, you’re in luck! The Premier Blue is going on tour throughout Asia, Geneva, London, Doha and New York next month.
