The Oscar Show in Lake Tahoe Presented by Saks

Clear blue skies and waters of Lake Tahoe served as a stunning backdrop for the 44th annual Save the Lake benefit, a luncheon and runway show of Oscar de la Renta’s resort 2014, presented by Saks Fifth Avenue.
A fashionably chic crowd gathered along the water at The Schumacher Family Home by the water in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe for a cocktail reception hosted by Oliver Luxury Real Estate, followed by a live auction, luncheon presented by Graff Diamonds, and fashion show to benefit The League to Save Lake Tahoe. Bay Area notables included Marissa Mayer, Karen Caldwell, Jean Larette, Rosemary Baker, Barbara Brown, Suzanna Allen, Helen O’Hagan and Valera Lyles.
The event now known as “the Oscar Show” is the highlight of the Tahoe summer season, and this year drew a record 600 guests and raised more than $505,000 for the League, which is dedicated to preserving the environmental balance, scenic beauty, and recreational opportunities of the Tahoe Basin.
Saks has supported the fundraiser since 1969. Luxury jeweler Graff was also a sponsor, and hosted a VIP cocktail reception on the eve of the show at the Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe and the Ritz Carlton Residences, Lake Tahoe.
