To celebrate its 120th anniversary, Japanese jewelry brand Mikimoto has unveiled three special edition pearl necklaces at its Beverly Hills boutique.

The baubles are made of 120 Akoya pearls, 120 multi-colored Black South Sea cultured pearls, and 120 multi-colored South Sea and Fresh Water pearls.

The strands are meant to represent the company’s history; it has been in existence since founded by Kokichi Mikimoto in 1893.

The anniversary pieces are available this fall and priced at $15,000 for the Akoya strand, $30,000 for the Black South Sea strand and $33,000 for the multi-color South Sea and Fresh Water strand.

Fans of the brand have included everyone from Coco Chanel and Marilyn Monroe to Elizabeth Taylor and Sarah Jessica Parker.
