Haute Event: Inside the 21st Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta
The 21st Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta kicked off with a bang last night at the American Cancer Society as the 800 guests arrived and posed on the red carpet. The reception for the sold-out event included cocktails, delicious bites by Dennis Dean, a Catering Company and a silent auction. Guests of the evening mingled with host Jeffrey Kalinsky and Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy, Louise Sams and Ken Britt in the beautiful atmosphere while also taking a moment to place their bids on the silent auction table. The auction was filled with goodies including Jason Wu handbag , Dior sunglasses, and 4 VIP tickets to see Live! With Kelly & Michael in New York City.
A high-energy live auction followed the reception and bids were flying high for great items like a Vogue Fantasy trip to New York ( which topped out at $9000). Next followed the highly anticipated fall/winter fashion show. For the stylish set in Atlanta, after all, these looks will determine the course of their wardrobe for the next two seasons. From the moment the first model stepped onto the runway, crowd approval was obvious throughout the entire span of the show, which featured stunning looks by Dior, Proenza Schouler, Lanvin, Valentino, Erdem, Christopher Kane, Emilio Pucci, Saint Laurent, Nina Ricci, Narciso Rodriguez, Simone Rochas, Junya Watanabe, Dries Van Noten, Mary Katrantzou, Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy, and Simone Rocha.
Immediately following the fashion show, the official after party kicked off in the lobby. Notable guests of the evening included Lisa Stein of LA Stein Jewelry, Real Housewives of Atlanta Marlo Thomas and Cynthia Bailey, Project Runway Designer Mychael Knight, photographer Harriet Leibowitz, radio personality Jenn Hobby, Sabina Carr of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Marian Goldberg of Cartier, Kim Wilkins of Hermes among many other Atlanta elite.
A special thanks to Caren West and her team at Caren West PR for including me at this beautiful event.
