Alexander Wang Collaborates With Samsung for Limited-Edition Bag
New York-based fashion designer Alexander Wang has teamed up with Samsung for his latest bag creation: a drawstring gym tote made from lambskin.
Named “Wallie,” the haute handbag features a drawstring closure, reinforced leather corners and a black and gray abstract print. To create the design, Wang asked friends, stylists and photographers to use the Samsung Galaxy Note II to take photos, doodles and patterns. He then combined the various images to form the bag’s unique look.
“The abstract print really captures the energy of New York City,” Wang explained in a statement. “This collaboration is a great example of how technology and style can come together in an unexpected but really meaningful way.”
The bag retails for $550 and is available in select locations from this month. Proceeds from the sale will go towards the Art Start charity.
