This is the second location for the King’s Seafood Company establishment, which has taken over Ocean Avenue Seafood’s space at 1401 Ocean Avenue.

Owner Sam King gave the space a $3.5 million overhaul to give it a large bar, raw bar and oyster shucking station.

The new space was inspired by vintage fish markets and antique ships. It’s theme is very masculine, with wooden beams, walls and flooring as well as dark steel borders, white tiles and an antique pulley system.

Damon Gordon, formerly of the Jefferson Hotel in Washington D.C., will helm the kitchen as Executive Chef.

The eatery opens to the public tonight; lunch will start being served as of Tuesday.
