Tom Colicchio To Open Restaurant Concept at 1 Hotel & Residences
Top Chef Judge and restaurateur Tom Coliccio will be opening a signature restaurant concept at 1 Hotel & Residences, next May. Yes, it’ll be awhile, but with news that big, waiting isn’t an option. If the name 1 Hotel & Residences isn’t familiar, we assure you the space certainly is – the former Perry Hotel that was formerly The Gansevoort, has been taken over by Starwood Capital’s Barry Sternlicht and Richard LeFrak of the LeFrak Organization and Invesco who are pouring $150 million into renovations the condo-hotel building.
Coliccio will be heading up F&B for 1 Hotel & Residences, and a yet unnamed restaurant will be taking over the STK space, (we understand they are moving into another space on the property.) So once again, an old space will be an amazing new one on South Beach, and we will be waiting with bells on for Coliccio’s first resto in Florida as we are already fans of his popular spots in NYC like Craft, River Park, Coliccio & Sones and Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton.
