
Smile Design Gallery Raised $100,000 at Live Art Auction in NYC
Several leading New York celebrities, including Dr. Lee Gause, Swizz Beatz, Grady Spivey III, Rohan Marley, Angela Simmons, Delano Brown, Robert Peterson, Chi Modu, Jay Morrison, Brittany Smooch and Emily B came out for the Smile Auction at in NYC. Presented by Smile Design Gallery, Moet & Chandon Champagne, Paddle 8, Grady Spivey III, Provocateur and HotMop Films, the auction raised more than $100,000 for the children of Camden, New Jersey.
Several pieces of art by prominent artists such as Swizz Beatz, Chi Modu, UR New York, Robert Peterson and Angelo Romano were up for auction, including Beatz’s Porsche “Muhammad Ali” hood, which sold for $25,000. Basquiat by Darius Quarles sold for $25,000.
The funds provide dentistry to people that don’t have dental insurance. “I could not be more happy that the social enterprise that we created works better than we expected,” explained Gause. “People love buying amazing art, and we love providing free care for people that need it.”
