Haute 100 NY Update: Robert De Niro Creates New TV Series
Robert De Niro has a new project in the works with renowned writer James Patterson: Private, a brand new television series through his production company, Tribeca productions. De Niro’s latest hit will narrate the fast-paced and dramatic story of former CIA agent Jack Morgan, the front man of the world’s most elite investigation firm. His cohorts are spread worldwide and utilize cutting edge forensic tools to solve the cases of the world’s top players and big shots.
The successful actor and producer’s show will follow a script by John McLaughlin, who is responsible for the critically-acclaimed screenplay of Black Swan. The show’s network is still unannounced, but its first two episodes have been written.
Robert De Niro and his partner, Jane Rosenthal, had a midseason replacement, NYC 22, on CBS in 2012 and will debut About a Boy, an adaptation of Hugh Grant’s famous film midseason on NBC.
