Mets Host All-Star Game For First Time in 39 Years

News | July 16, 2013

The Mets will host tonight’s All-Star Game at their very own Citi Field, for the first time since 1964. Mets ace, Matt Harvey, will be the starting pitcher. Other starters include Mike Trout, Robinson Cano and Miguel Cabrera.

The highly-anticipated All-Star Game return isn’t the only thing fans are talking about. Harvey’s big time debut has caused quite the conversation. On Monday, Terry Collins said, “This is no exhibition game for Matt Harvey, I’ll tell you that. He’s bound and determined to show a national audience that he’s legit.” Harvey’s latest conversation starter is his appearance in the “Body Issue” for ESPN The Magazine.

Baseball zealots will rejoice all around Manhattan, especially those partaking in the parade down 42nd Street.
