Jay-Z Performs at Pace Gallery for Six Hours
Jay-Z performed for six hours straight last night at Chelsea’s Pace Gallery, as part of his six-piece art installment to promote his latest album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. The rapper performed ‘Picasso Baby,’ a song on his recent album, during a “secret” performance that quickly garnered widespread interest and online coverage. Invited guests posted pictures and vine videos of Jay-Z’s creative and well-received artistic performance.
Jay-Z’s captivating musical-turned-artistic rendition reeled in a guest list with the likes of Tilda Swinton, Marina Abramovic, Wale, Alan Cumming and Rosie Perez. Last night’s live art footage will comprise the artist’s latest music video for ‘Picasso Baby.’
