Jay-Z Gets a Box of Rolex Watches Backstage at Wireless Festival

Haute Time spotted Jay-Z wearing a gold Rolex Sky-Dweller onstage at the Yahoo! Wireless festival in London, England. The rapper hit the stage at the Olympic Park to perform songs from his new album Magna Carta…Holy Grail.

The Sky-Dweller is a fitting watch for Jay-Z’s time in London, considering its popularity with global travellers. Launched in 2012, the Sky-Dweller boasts a dual time zone display and a discreet annual calendar with a rotatable fluted bezel. According to the manufacture, the Sky-Dweller’s 42mm-diameter case is crafted from a solid block of 18K gold.

According to the UK Sun, Jay-Z was in a Rolex state of mind at the festival. The Sun reported that the rapper’s accommodations included not only suites at the Savoy and the Ritz, but also a box of Rolex watches laid out for him backstage, “so his mates could nab a free timepiece”.
