Jackie Kennedy Onassis’ Yacht On Sale for $32 million

Looking to own a piece of history? The 99-meter yacht where Jackie Kennedy married Aristotle Onassis has gone on sale for a cool $32 million, reports CNN.

Named Christina O, the luxury vessel has served as the backdrop of several lavish society affairs attended by Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and John Wayne. Prince Rainier of Monaco and Hollywood leading lady, Grace Kelly, held their wedding reception on the yacht in 1956.

Onassis bought the boat in 1947 for $34,000 and spent $4 million ($45 million by today’s standards) renovating the interior. “Aristotle Onassis saw Christina O as a powerful symbol of his growing business empire,” explained Nicholas Edmiston, chairman of the yacht company selling the boat. “It really was the last word in opulence and many personalities were attracted by its ability to offer them some privacy, not just by its magnificence.”
