In honor of Bastille Day, historian Eric Washington will lead a special tour of the Morris-Jumel Mansion, Manhattan’s oldest house, and the Trinity Church Cemetery, on July 14.

The tour will focus on the life of Madame Eliza Jumel, an American socialite that lived in the mansion for many years. Presented in conjunction with The Municipal Arts Society of New York, the tour will highlight the period-style rooms and contemporary art that evokes Eliza’s personality.
