Cameron Diaz Named Artistic Director of Pour La Victoire
Cameron Diaz is taking the fashion world by storm. The 40-year-old “In Her Shoes” actress was recently purchased a stake in contemporary footwear and accessories brand Pour La Victoire, where she also serves as the company’s artistic director.
“I don’t do endorsements really. This is completely different,” she told Women’s Wear Daily. “Being influential in a brand and in its [advertising] campaigns interests me. I love fashion. It’s a large part of my life. What I wear is looked at. It influences what other people wear because that’s just the world we live in.”
Diaz played an active role in Pour La Victoire’s Autumn Winter 2013 campaign, which was photographed by Terry Richardson and featured Australian model Jessica Hart, and plans to be even more hands on in the coming months. “Pour La Victoire gives me the opportunity to create something timeless,” she explained. “There’s a lot I have to learn about the business. I’m interested in learning how collections are created.”
Though the actress’ first collection won’t be released until spring 2014, the brand plans to showcase a capsule collected called “Cameron’s picks” during the holiday season.
