Haute Event: The Hollywood Elite Celebrates New Helmut Newton Exhibit at the Annenberg Space for Photography

Art lovers and celebrities were out in abundance last week to attend the opening night of a special Helmut Newton exhibit at the Annenberg Space for Photography. 

Cindy Crawford, Rashida Jones, Robert Evans, Rosanna Arquette, Sharon Osbourne, Sasha Alexander, Will McCormack,  Bella Heathcote, China Chow, Constance Zimmer, Crystal Reed, Daryl Hannah, Fran Drescher, Jacqui Getty, James Caan, Mandy Moore, Minka Kelly, Natasha Kinski, Noah Mills and Jeffrey Deitch were among the guests who gathered at the Annenberg on Thursday night.

The opening celebration honored the works of iconic fashion photographer Newton.

In addition to the more than 100 prints displayed, the exhibit — Helmut Newton: White Women・Sleepless Nights・Big Nudes — will feature two films about Newton, Helmut by June, a documentary film shot and directed by June Newton, and an original documentary film from Arclight Productions commissioned by the Annenberg Space for Photography.

The exhibit is the first exhibition of Helmut Newton’s work outside of gallery shows in Los Angeles, his long-time winter residence.
