A little sex appeal goes a long way. The S&R Lounge (short for “Salvage and Rescue”) located inside of Hotel Zetta, San Francisco’s newest hotspot hotel, just celebrated their grand opening with a chic shindig that officially elevates SoMa’s fifth street to a haute new level.

The lounge made a soft debut at the opening party of Hotel Zetta on June 6th, when the Viceroy Hotel Group, along with restaurateurs Anna Weinberg and James Nicholas (partners in the soon to be open The Cavalier restaurant adjacent to the hotel in August), hosted a private celebration to mark the official hotel opening.

A very sexi-fied crowd enjoyed an evening of live entertainment by DJs Viceroy and Goldroom as well as cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from S&R Lounge.  Weinberg and Chef Jennifer Puccio (of Marlowe and Park Tavern fame), the brains behind S&R’s bar menu and cocktail program, clearly have another hit on their hands. Puccio’s bold flavors packed inside of tiny bites, combined with S&R’s signature cocktail offerings were crowd pleasers.

VIP guests including Willie Brown, Ron Conway, Sonya Molodetskaya, Jonathan Kauffman and America’s Cup team members; Ben Ainslie, Simon Daublney and Mathew Mason had the opportunity to tour select hotel rooms, view a live art installation, test drive the Ignite GT racecar simulators, and unwind in the hotel’s Playroom, which offers a unique collection of old school and contemporary games.

The remodeled 2-story space exudes the productive vibe that defines SoMa. Its minimalist industrial ambiance combined with sophisticated touches include a range of lounge options, from couches, to tables, the bar, to the traditional bar seating. Not to mention there are games, meeting rooms, plenty of lounging and free wi-fi throughout the hotel space.  Guests: pick your pleasure at Hotel Zetta.
