Sarah Jessica Parker to Chair Fashion Gala for NYC Ballet

News | June 24, 2013

Sarah Jessica Parker, style icon and glamour guru, will chair a fashion gala for the New York City Ballet this September. To launch the ballet company’s month-long autumn/winter performance, the soirée will partner choreographers with New York-based designers to produce the ultimate production of couture and classical dance. Benjamin Millepied, husband of Natalie Portman, will beget ballet brilliance for the company for the fifth time, like he did with his highly-praised dances of Black Swan. Millepied will join forces with Dutch fashion whiz Iris van Herpen; Olivier Theyskens will design for Angeline Preljocaj‘s performance; NYC Ballet soloist Justin Peck will collaborate with Prabal Gurung.

The sartorial symbol has been a member of the New York City Ballet’s board for several years and has regularly attended performances. Parker’s latest project confirms her original hints from last year’s September gala.

Revel in the grandeur of the Parker-Millepied extravaganza set for September 19 at the Lincoln Center and buy your tickets here for $29.
