On Wednesday, July 10, 2013, Lockwood Restaurant & Bar (17 E. Monroe Street), welcomes renowned winemaker Penny Murray of Planeta Wines for an exclusive wine dinner, The tasting menu for this event will feature Executive Chef Joseph Rose’s signature modern American cuisine, with each dish specially created for this event, to complement each of the wines presented. The evening will include a welcome reception with Planeta “la Segreta” wine, during which time the guests will be able to speak to the winemaker to learn more about the portfolio. This exclusive event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is priced at $90 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Interested attendees can make reservations by calling 312.917.3404
“We pride ourselves on our extensive wine program here at Lockwood so when the opportunity came along to create a menu to pair with these wines, we were thrilled,” says Rose. “It’s especially exciting to have Penny here at the restaurant to enjoy our cuisine and visit with our guests.”
The Menu
Chef Rose pairs summer dishes that blend harmoniously with the selections of Planeta Winery. The tasting will begin with light ocean mixes, continuing with hearty Midwest courses, and finishing off with a Rose’s own non-traditional “spin” on prosciutto and melon.
