Lunch with Warren Buffet…The Auction Countdown Party Awaits
Lunching with a billionaire doesn’t come cheap.
The 14th annual Glide Foundation eBay auction began this week with an opening bid set at $25,000. By Tuesday night, the bid had reached $700,100, and it’s expected to soar as the auction approaches its closing date on June 7 at 7:30 p.m. Pacific time. The winner will dine with Buffett and up to seven friends at Smith & Wollensky in New York.
While the bidders click away with anticipation, the countdown party will be flowing at Restaurant LuLu, where Reverend Cecil Williams, Janice Mirikitani, Rita Shimmin, Kristen G. Yamamoto and Reverend Karen Oliveto invite onlookers to share in the excitement and cheer the final moments of the countdown.
Guests will enjoy lavis hor d’oeuvres, wine, cocktails, music and dancing. The Glide Ensemble will make an appearance along with the Change Band and DJ KingMost.
So get ready for some serious bidding for a good cause. All proceeds from the auction will benefit The Glide Foundation, which promotes the alleviation of poverty in the San Francisco Bay area.
