Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton just opened its first North American in-store atelier at its 116 Greene Street location. Adjoining the store’s chic travel room, the workshop offers intrigued customers a first-hand look at the House’s famous savoir-faire. Although there are usually 250 craftsmen in a Louis Vuitton workshop, one specialized artisan will add a personal touch to the SoHo House’s celebrated trunks with hand painting and leather goods with hot stamping. Additionally, this artisanal delicacy and touch will carry over for any repairs. “Louis Vuitton’s savor-faire becomes the centerpiece of this unique experiential retail environment,” said Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet, President and Chief Executive Officer of Louis Vuitton North America. “We are pleased to provide our clients with a rare look inside our renown ateliers.” The atelier’s unique interior design amalgamates both SoHo’s incomparable, artisanal history and Paris’ singular flea market flair through its original brick walls underscored by cast iron columns, industrial light fixtures, and curated Parisian antique furniture.
