‘Kinky Boots’ Has Best-Selling Week at Box Office
After taking home six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, on Sunday night, “Kinky Boots” had its bestselling week at the box office. The Cyndi Lauper-scored musical sold $1,411,574 in tickets during the week ending June 9.
And it sounds like the Broadway show is only going to keep picking up steam! According to spokesman Rick Miramontez, “Kinky Boots” forecasts it will add about $1 million to its advance sales today.
