Haute Event: Chanel Presents Natural Resources Defense Council Dinner

The hautest event of the weekend was easily Friday evening’s Natural Resources Defense Council dinner.

The event, held at art dealer Larry Gagosian‘s Holmby Hills home, was sponsored by Chanel and drew a glittering crowd of Hollywood’s hautest faces.

Though Gagosian did not, in fact, attend the fete as he attended the Venice Biennale instead, he generously gave up his house for the luxurious evening.

Guests like Tobey Maguire, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, Chelsea Handler, Balthazar Getty, mogul Michael Eisner, New Line Cinema founder Bob Shaye and director Andrew Dominik dined on an all-vegetarian menu by Gjelina’s Travis Lett.

Surprise musical performances included a rare appearance by Patti Smith, who dueted with Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’; Pharrell Williams performed over dinner.

Additional event attendees included Rachel Bilson, Emma Roberts, Angela Lindvall, Emily Mortimer, Bella Heathcote and Haley Bennett; Janet Friesen, Jane Kachmer, Lauren and Benedikt Taschen, as well as Ron and Kelly Meyer acted as co-hosts.
